What to expect:

Coordinate design and development activities for interior and exterior components (e.g. door trims, cockpit, bumpers, closures, lighting, mirrors)
Ensure alignment with project timing, technical requirements, and cost targets across the product lifecycle
Lead component development through the entire VPDS / DVP cycle, from concept to SOP
Act as the main interface between engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality functions
Organize and moderate Design Reviews, ensuring design maturity, issue tracking, and documentation
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with technical regulations and design prerequisites (TR/DPR)
Support change management, testing, and validation processes for assigned components
Drive continuous improvement and support cross-functional collaboration throughout the development process

What you bring along:

Proven experience as Group Design Leader, Design & Release Engineer (D&R), or Project Engineer within automotive development
Strong understanding of product development systems (e.g. VPDS, DVP, or equivalent)
Knowledge of Catia V5 (plastics or sheet metal) and Teamcenter (PDM/PLM)
Familiarity with local OEM process knowledge, article management, and KDP database
Hands-on experience with FSS (Full Service Supplier) or Build-to-Print environments
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English, proactive and structured working style
A strong can-do mindset and high sense of ownership
This role requires on-site collaboration at our Gothenburg location and candidates must hold valid work authorization in Sweden.
