OBD Coordination Engineer

What to expect:

We are looking for someone with equivalent of 5 years experience. This person will work in our OBD Coordination team.

Roles and Responsibilities Summary:
• Collaborate with third-party service providers in the US and Germany conducting comprehensive OBD system testing
• Track and report potential issues found during RD testing activities, and support in addressing open questions and non-compliance risks before the OBD Readiness Date
• Assist RD and PT calibrators in creating, organizing, and completing OBD documentation on time
• Ensure all documentation accurately reflects the OBD system's compliance status and expected output
• Work closely with the development teams to prepare required materials for OBD application certification
• Act as a liaison between third-party service providers, the development team, and certification to streamline communication and escalate findings
• Clearly define and communicate the content, format, and materials needed for successful OBD certification submission
• Utilize established OBD Dashboard best practices for tracking and reporting requirements

 

What you bring along:

- Minimum level of education required and required field of study:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering

- Minimum skills required:
• Experience with light-duty powertrain development in the areas of electrification, drivability, fuel economy, and emissions control/OBD
• Experience with light-duty powertrain control units, especially Bosch control units
• Understanding of light-duty emissions and OBD regulations
• Proficiency with powertrain development tools such as INCA and Matlab/Simulink
• Ability to author clear and concise technical reports for a wide, global audience
